New Small Group Studies
Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. at Marci & Beth’s home, 1501 McTavish Drive, Clarksville. Based on the book, “5 Love Languages” by Gary Chapman, this focuses on discovering your love language in order to improve your relationships.
Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Dee Troub’s home, 835 Watt Street, Jeffersonville. Based on the bible study, “Goliath Must Fall”, by Louie Giglio, which teaches the importance of focusing on the size of your GOD, and not on the size of the “giants” in your life. You will learn “as your giants go down, you gain freedom to walk in victory won over the enemies that rob you of God’s best for your life.”
I want to let you know about a Bible Study that I’m excited about doing in the four weeks leading up to Christmas this year. It’s called Because of Bethlehem, taught by Max Lucado, one of my favorite Bible teachers!
We’ll be reading together the Christmas story in Scripture, talking through the group discussion questions, and each week there are optional Advent reflection practices. This is not an intense study with tons of homework!
I know that life gets busy this time of year so this is definitely a come-when-you-can type of Bible study. If you think you can make even two or three of these dates then come! I’d love to have you!
We will have our first meeting on December 7th at 6:30pm at 835 Watt Street, Jeffersonville for a total of four weeks and we will wrap up before Christmas.
All you need for the study is a Bible and a copy of the Because of Bethlehem study guide, which is just $5.99 upon registration. That’s it! Max Lucado and the people at Study Gateway are making the companion videos available on line for free, so even if you miss a week you can catch up and do the reading on your own.
Plus, to help you get started there are free downloads for week one on the website. Go ahead and sign up to get the first chapters for free:
Let me know if you have any questions.
