Pastor 2

Welcome Brothers and Sisters to New Beginnings Church!

New Beginnings Church opened it’s doors in Jeffersonville in March, 2010. We have quickly grown from a congregation of 5 people meeting in a smokey bingo hall to a congregation of over 100 quickly outgrowing our sanctuary. We are very blessed to be a part of the Jeffersonville community and to be serving Southern Indiana and the Louisville area.

New Beginnings Church is a very diverse church, where ALL people are welcome, accepted, and loved! I would like to invite you to visit us for one of our inspirational and uplifting services! We meet every Wednesday at 6:30pm and every Sunday at 10:30am. Come early, and join us for coffee and fellowship!

New Beginnings Church is very active in the community. We supply food and clothing to the needy; we participate in the Downtown Lay Ministries; we supply food to the local food pantry; we volunteer at the Bliss House; we participate in community clean up; we help people with yard work; and numerous other activities.

New Beginnings schedules and hosts numerous social activities, so please check back here often! We are not just a “church”…we are a “family…and our “family” wants YOU to join us!

If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 812-595-0571.

Serving with enthusiasm,
Pastor Tracy Patton

Hillcrest Valentine’s

The Sparetimers will be hosting a Valentine & Craft Day for the residents of Hillcrest Village Nursing Home on February 11th.  Small gift bags of Valentine’s candy will be distributed while residents enjoy Big Band Music thru 50’s music and crafting Valentine’s themed painted tiles.  Please wear red for Valentine’s Day and join in the fun! Sparetimers will be meeting at 2pm at Hillcrest to set up, with activities going from 2:30pm to approximately 3:30pm.

Small Groups Leaders Needed

We are in need of individuals or couples who would like to lead a men’s and couple’s small group.  We are also looking for small group leaders for our Scottsburg congregation.  Please contact Pastor Tracy if you feel led to head up these ministries.

2,092 lbs collected in 2014!

We gathered 2,092 pounds of food for the Dare to Care Food Bank at Bliss House in 2014!  Thank you all for your generosity and caring for those in our community in need.  Our challenge now is to beat that total in 2015!

Greetings NBC Family!

What a beautiful weekend we experienced of fellowship, worship, and the baptism of baby Paris! Now that we have service in Scottsburg on Saturday; a radio service on Sunday morning; and service in Jeffersonville on Sunday, I always hate to see the weekend come to an end. I guess it just means that we start gearing up for our “hump day” service on Wednesday!!

Saturday is Valentine’s Day, so join us for our “LOVE” sermon that night at 6pm in Scottsburg, or on Sunday in Jeffersonville, at 10:30am!

All of you are blessed with many gifts and talents, so I am asking all of you to pray for what God is leading you to do in both of our church locations. We are always in need of volunteers to do lots of different things, but we are in real need of Deacons. Deacons take care of the people. If you will remember in the Bible, deacons took care of the widows and orphans. Today, they check on our congregation when they aren’t there (phone calls, emails, etc.); they visit people in the hospital; they rotate with other deacons to be “deacon of the week” at service, to ensure all servants are present and know their duties, etc. If you are interested in being a deacon, please see me or Alan Jones, Deacon Coordinator of NBC-Jeff.

I pray all of you have a very amazing week in the Lord!

Cupid’s Class

On Saturday, February 7 at 3pm, Pastor Tracy will be presenting information on how to improve your friendships, your dating life, your marriage, and ALL of your relationships!  This class is for both adults and high school kids and is designed for couples and singles!

Suicide Prevention Workshop

Our New Beginnings Church Deacons will be hosting a Suicide Prevention Workshop on Saturday, February 28 (time to be determined).  In this day and age, suicide seems to be becoming an epidemic. Please consider joining us so we all may be better prepared to recognize the signs that someone may be suicidal, and how to appropriately and effectively intervene.

This workshop is open to all.  Please e-mail Peg Wilfong to indicate your interest and assist her in scheduling the workshop.

Food Pantry Donations

Another 65 pounds of food and clothing was donated to the Dare to Care Food Bank at Bliss House and Exit 0 Homeless Ministries thanks to your generosity.

Don’t forget the item for this week is a can of beans!

Celebrate NBC’s 5-Year Anniversary

On Sunday, March 15, we will celebrate our FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!  Please invite all of your friends, family, and neighbors to celebrate this milestone with us!  The service will include special music, a lot of surprises, and a birthday cake to share after service!

We will be showing a tribute video featuring pictures of church members and activities through the years.  If you have some old pictures from the Bingo Hall or 300 Spring to share, please e-mail them to Lacy and she will incorporate them into the video.

Super Bowl Sunday Service

One of the most fun days of the year at NBC is coming up.  It is our Super Bowl Sunday Service.  Please wear your favorite team jersey or t-shirt even if your team isn’t going to be in Super Bowl!  In fact, your favorite team doesn’t even have to be an NFL team.  Last year we had fans of IU, UK, UofL, Purdue, Colts, Cowboys, and even some soccer jerseys represent their fandoms.  Come and join the fun as our Praise & Worship Team sets a festive mood by really getting into character, and Pastor Tracy transforms into Peyton Manning…not really.

Stick around after service to enjoy some game day snacks!

Honorees for Week of January 11th

Thank you to Cindy Hawkins for your monetary donation in the memory of Judy Patterson that was used to purchase bibles for Tryce, Scarlett, Connor, and Aedan.  Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Congratulations to Connor who won this week’s “Quiet As A Church Mouse” Children’s Church Award!
